Service Description

Adult students will receive individualized instruction focusing on learning the basics of wheel throwing through repetition. Those new to throwing will learn from demos, guidance and a lot of practice centering and throwing cylinders. This foundation will set you up for more advanced techniques. Returning or intermediate students are invited to develop and expand upon their knowledge through the introduction of new projects based on students’ needs. Each session will finish with trimming, decorating and glazing techniques. It is highly recommended that students have prior experience with hand-building techniques before taking this course but is not required. Class price includes instruction, 25 lbs. of clay, glaze, and firing of your work. Additional clay may be purchased for $40 per 25lb bag or $8 per 5 lbs.
